What Makes GCE Different
A Program Built Around How Children Actually Learn
GCE isn’t school on a screen. It’s a structured classical program that gives your family the best of both worlds — expert instruction and family flexibility.
Live Weekly Classes via Zoom
Students meet with their mentor and up to 11 classmates for approximately 4 hours of discussion-based instruction each week.
30–32 Week Academic Structure
A clearly outlined academic year with defined expectations each week. No daily lesson planning. No guessing. Just follow the agenda.
Flexible Independent Study
The rest of the week is completed at home, on your schedule. Roughly 2–2.5 hours per day — fitting naturally around your family’s rhythm.
Classical Trivium Approach
Grammar, Dialectic, and Rhetoric — the three-stage framework that trains students how to think, reason, and communicate.
A Typical Week
Structure at Home. Depth in Class.
Here’s what a week looks like for a Dialectic Stage (grades 6–7) student:
Monday – Wednesday
Independent study at home. Reading, writing assignments, and discussion preparation. Approximately 2–2.5 hours per day.
Thursday or Friday
Live Zoom class with the mentor and up to 11 classmates. ~4 hours of discussion-based learning.
The Rest of the Week
Yours. No rigid daily schedule imposed. Parents stay in charge of their home, their family’s pace, and their values.
