Need more support?
Some families thrive with the Agenda and never need anything else. Others do better with a live weekly class — a scheduled hour, a mentor leading the discussion, other students in the room.
We run a live online program alongside the Agenda. Ask us how to join a live class. You can raise it at any point in the year — it’s a normal thing for families to do partway through, and nobody starts the year again. Your student picks up right where they left off.
Not sure? Message your mentor. They know how your year has been going, and they’ll tell you honestly whether they think it would help. That’s what they’re there for.
Questions parents ask
Does the mentor teach my student?
No. With the Agenda, you lead your student’s discussions and labs. Your mentor supports you — how to open a discussion, what to listen for, how to set up a lab, when to push and when to ease off. If you want a mentor teaching your student directly, that’s the live class.
How much do I have to teach?
You lead the discussions and the labs — that’s the heart of a classical year, and it’s yours. What you don’t do is plan any of it. The Agenda tells you what’s covered, in what order, and what to ask. If you aren’t sure how to lead something, message your mentor.
Is this the same curriculum used in your live classes?
Yes — the same 30–32 week classical curriculum. The difference is who leads the discussion. In the live class, a mentor does. With the Agenda, you do.
What exactly am I buying?
The Agenda — the full curriculum for the year — plus your one-hour one-on-one mentor onboarding meeting and ongoing chat access to your assigned mentor for the rest of the year.
Does my student get their own login?
Yes. Your student signs in to their own account to work their Agenda, and you sign in to yours. Mentor chat runs through your parent login, so questions come to you first.
Does my student have to work on a set schedule?
No. The Agenda sets what each week holds. Your family decides which days and hours.
Who is my mentor?
A member of our team assigned to your family for the year. The same person for your onboarding meeting and for every chat message after it. They’re your support — not your student’s teacher.
How fast does my mentor reply in chat?
Mentors check in on their families regularly throughout the week during the academic year.
What if we need more support?
Ask us how to join a live class. You can raise it at any point in the year, and your student doesn’t start over. Message your mentor — they’ll help you decide whether it’s the right move.
