The Parent’s Guide to Classical Education

Everything you need to know before choosing a classical homeschool program — what it is, how it compares, what families experience, and 5 questions to ask before you commit.

Our Approach

Classical Education Trains Students How to Think — Not Just What to Think

For centuries, the classical method produced history’s greatest thinkers. Today it gives your child the same foundation.

Depth Over Busywork

No more worksheets and test prep. Students engage deeply with history, literature, logic, and ideas.

Discussion-Based Learning

Every class is a conversation. Students learn to listen, question, defend ideas, and think on their feet.

Structure Without Rigidity

A clear 30-32 week academic framework gives your family direction without a rigid daily schedule.

Faith-Compatible Foundation

Classical education is naturally aligned with a Christian worldview — built around truth, virtue, and the great ideas of Western civilization.

The Trivium

Three Stages. One Complete Education.

GCE follows the classical Trivium. Students can join at any stage.

Stage One

Grammar

Ages 8-11 (Grades 3-5)

Students build strong academic foundations in reading, writing, history, and mathematics.

Stage Two

Dialectic

Ages 12-13 (Grades 6-7)

Students learn to analyze, question, and reason through discussion.

Stage Three

Rhetoric

Ages 14-18 (Grades 8-12)

Students write persuasively, lead discussions, and develop a genuine intellectual voice.

What Families Are Saying

Real Families. Real Results.

— Laura T., GCE Parent
“My son started GCE this year. He is 15 and it has been a great transition. He really enjoys the weekly in-class Zoom meetings.”
— Alicia S., GCE Parent

— Benjamin M., GCE Parent
